One of the biggest events in the tech world for the upcoming week is certainly Apple’s launch of several products on October 16. The launch of a number of products is expected, but the star of the show is the new iPad Air 2. They say it will be the thinnest tablet ever to hit the market and will also be offered in gold.
As usual, Apple unveils its new iPads in October, that’s why we are expecting new iPads, perhaps a bigger 12.9-inch model. The iPad Air 2 is expected to feature the new A8 processor, an M8 motion coprocessor and TouchID for fingerprint recognition, which means that user will be able to use Apple Pay with the iPad Air 2.
We also expect the iMac to get a major overhaul, although it received a minor upgrade just few months ago. It’s expected to include a 27-inch Retina display with an ultra-high resolution. Many updates are expected too. Among others, updates are expected for the iMac range of computers, the Mac OS X Yosemite, the net-generation Mac operating system and Apple Pay on the cards.
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook said four month ago “We still feel the category as a whole is in its early days, and there’s still significant innovation that can be brought to the iPad, and we can do that.”
The event will be held at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. Live stream is available from the event, as it was for the last similar event that featured the launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Last time’s stream was a bit too slow, and was made fun of by competitors, but we hope for the best this time.
