Halloween is near and the holidays aren’t too far either. Many retailers are looking towards social media sites to boost their sales.
A recent research has shown that almost 70% of marketers are planning to increase their marketing budget for social media ads this season. Other social networks are gaining interest too, more than 70% of marketers say that Instagram (10 Ways Small Busineses Use Instagram for Marketing) is the latest breakout social network.
It’s not just retailers who are planning to sell. Facebook and Twitter are themselves taking steps to on-site sales. Recently, both giants with over 1.5 billion active users have announced the launch of Buy buttons, which would allow customers to shop without leaving the social networks. These e-commerce capabilities are primarily aimed at mobile users.
Most retailers are counting on the last quarter to boost their sales, and it helps to know what sales strategies the big companies are using.
