Tweeter has joined forces with Apple and SoundCloud to enable users to incorporate music into their tweets. The new feature makes it possible to embed audio in your tweets via mobile devices running on both the iOS and Android, it’s as simple as inserting a photo or a video.
Users need to tap once on the timeline to reveal extended audio cards and listen to the audio recording. Naturally, uses would want to continue browsing without interrupting the audio, this can be done with a single swipe that docks the audio.
Audio cards are currently used by a small number of users, such as the White House, DJ/producer Deadmau5 and the program This American Life.
According to Twitter blog post “The world’s most influential musicians and media producers already share unique audio content through Twitter every day.”
