Starting a Facebook page and gaining these first few hundreds of followers can be a challenging task. In our previous post How to Run a Thriving Facebook Page, we shared some tips on how to customize and make your page stand out. So, when you finish that, you will probably invite your friends to like it. But what next? How will you get the people you don’t know to engage, like, and even come to your page asap?
You will need to lean on the engagement of the Facebook groups because that is lately where all the conversations are going on. We explained the reasons for the high rising in popularity of the groups in our post, so it would be good to read it – to better understand the method. Let’s see how it goes, step by step.
The Method
You need to find groups related to the niche of your Facebook page, but don’t join with your page because you’ll not be able to share the links. So, you need to join with your personal account.
After that, you should create a quiz similar to this one:
It takes only a few minutes to create a quiz like this in Canva, or you can use some other editing tool you prefer. But pick the icons or photos of something related to your niche. You can put a logo, too. This method can be applied to almost every niche you can think of.
Post your quiz on your Facebook page and share the link to the groups. Quizzes like this always have a high engagement rate, because they create confusion and the debate which answer is correct. A lot of comments will boost your post and make it stay at the top of the group feed. That will give your Facebook page and especially a certain post free but a high-quality boost.
You need to be imaginative when designing your quiz. Something that will catch the viewer’s attention instantly. The whole point of doing this is to create engagement around your post, and in the end to be shared. When it appears on people’s feed, your page is promoted to thousands of people. And this is how you will get likes very fast.
You can also apply this to other platforms as well.
Bonus Idea
The people that will comment on your post are a great audience to connect with, as they are already familiar with your page. You can send them a message or an invite to your page, that may work even better than to wait for them to tap like. Just don’t break the daily limits, because you will get banned. Keep it humble. Facebook allows somewhere around 500 invites per day, but stay a bit under that number.
If you prefer to join groups with your page, you can do that also, but then you can share just the photo, not the link. Your page will still get engagement, even it will be connected to that post in that group. There are several options to do this, but each should somehow link to your Facebook page.
