As a long-time gamer and Genshin Impact streamer, I‘ve had the pleasure of participating in many of the game‘s limited-time events over the past two years. But few events capture the spirit of adventure quite like the Lost Riches treasure hunt!
Equipping that lovely Treasure-Seeking Seelie and exploring the world in search of glittering loot never gets old. However, the cryptic clues and tricky orb locations can leave some players baffled.
Not to worry! In this super-sized guide, I‘ll be walking you through every step needed to uncover all 3 treasure chests on day 1 of the event near Chatrakam Cave. Along the way, I‘ll provide detailed maps, tips from my own experience, and insights into the best characters and gear for overcoming the enemies guarding those prizes.
With my help, you‘ll have the most seamless and rewarding treasure hunting experience possible in Teyvat! So grab your camping gear and let‘s get started!
An In-Depth Look at Genshin Impact‘s Treasure-Seeking Seelies
But first, I imagine some of you may not be familiar with what these Seelies actually are or how they work. Let me enlighten you!
In the world of Teyvat, Seelies are ancient elemental sprites representing wind, earth, electricity, and fire. They were servants of the gods until the Archon War, after which most fled or went into hiding. Some slumbered for thousands of years!
During certain events, the Seelies will temporarily awaken and lend their powers to the Traveler. The Treasure-Seeking Seelies are especially helpful, using their elemental abilities to detect sources of elemental energy and locate hidden treasure.
Once you equip the event gadget, your new Seelie companion will start navigating towards blue elemental energy orbs for you to collect. Each orb you grab fills up the "Seelie Vitality" gauge – pictured below:
[Image: Seelie Vitality gauge]When the gauge is full, the Seelie will guide you to the spot where a Luxurious or Exquisite Chest lies buried.
However, you can‘t simply dig up these rewards. The concentration of elemental energy draws in Hilichurls and other enemies wanting to hoard the treasure for themselves. You‘ll need to defeat them in combat before you can claim the loot!
This makes team composition and combat strategy especially important. So let me give you some tips from my years of Genshin Impact streaming experience!
My Top Tips for Defeating Enemies Guarding the Lost Riches
While any party of characters can handle this event, I‘ve found some team compositions and gear provide a smoother treasure hunting experience:
Include a claymore character – Their wide, heavy attacks are perfect for crushing the shields of those annoying Hilichurl guards. My favorite is Beidou!
Bring a crowd control character – Anemo skills that group enemies together or freeze effects to immobilize them are extremely useful when you get swarmed. Venti and Kaeya are great low-cost options.
Pack food buffs – ATK, DEF, and stamina-recovery foods will give you an edge in combat. I love Sweet Madame since fowl are so easy to catch!
Equip a treasure compass – Having one of these gadgets makes collecting the orbs faster since it points you towards nearby treasure chests. Craft one before you start!
Set your party to Co-Op Mode – You can allow other travelers to temporarily join your world and provide backup against tough enemies. Just hit that matching button!
Step-By-Step Guide to Uncovering All 3 Treasures at Chatrakam Cave
Alright, time for the fun to begin! Here is my detailed walkthrough for finding all of the day 1 treasure chests with your Treasure-Seeking Seelie:
Step 1: Activate the Event and Teleport to Chatrakam Cave
Open your event menu and select "Start Search in Vicinity of Treasure Area" to begin the Lost Riches event. Next, open your map and fast travel to the Statue of the Seven in Chatrakam Cave.
Once loaded in, open your party menu and navigate to the Gadgets page. Select the event gadget called "Treasure-Seeking Seelie" and choose "Switch" to equip it.
Your Seelie companion will now appear and begin cheerfully guiding you towards the first elemental orb. And so the adventure begins!
Step 2: Collect 3 Orbs and Defeat Enemies for Treasure #1
Follow your bobbing blue friend up the path as it leads you to a tree. Glide up and collect the first orb resting at the top.
Continue trailing the Seelie south until it stops near the base of a rocky outcrop. Grab orb #2 from beside the large boulder.
The Seelie will then float westward towards a thick tree near water. Snag orb #3 from the roots to complete your first trio!
[Image: Map showing orb locations]After the 3 orbs, your Seelie Vitality should be around one-third full. Now the Seelie will guide you towards a group of Hilichurl enemies drawn by the nearby treasure. Equip your best fighter and take them out!
Once defeated, a pillar of light will appear that grants energy. Stand near it until your Seelie Vitality gauge fills completely to unlock the chest.
Open up that Exquisite Chest to claim your first rewards! Pretty good haul for just 3 orbs.
Step 3: Locate 3 More Orbs and a Second Treasure
With the first chest looted, your Seelie friend will begin the hunt for 3 more orbs.
It will float north towards the cave entrance. Glide up the cliff to find orb #4.
Next, follow as it flutters west through the trees until stopping by a fallen log. Crouch under the log to grab orb #5.
The Seelie will keep heading west to a small ruined structure. Orb #6 is tucked inside the building – climb the crumbling stairs to reach it.
[Image: Map with 2nd set of orb locations]Top up your Seelie Vitality at the next pillar that appears after beating the enemies. Then open the second Exquisite Chest and score more loot!
Step 4: Collect the Final 3 Orbs and Unearth the Third Treasure
Home stretch! For the final orb locations, I recommend opening your treasure compass gadget to help guide you.
Start by looking east up the towering cliff, where you‘ll spot orb #7 nestled on a plant. Glide over and scoop it up.
Orb #8 takes a bit more work to reach. Scale the icy north cliffs until you‘re quite high. Then glide downward at an angle to land on the hidden alcove below, grabbing the orb.
Finally, for the last orb, head west and hop atop the nearby mushroom. Let it bounce you upward to grab orb #9 in midair!
Vanquish the final enemies, fill up your Seelie Vitality one last time, and unlock the third and final Exquisite Chest. You did it!
