Learn How to Rearrange Your Pins on Pinterest

31-Days-to-a-Better-Pinterest-Page-Day-25

Welcome to day 25 of the 31 Days to a Better Pinterest Page. For day 25, I’m going to introduce you to a tool that’s too cool for school but is awesome for Pinterest.

Have you ever wanted to arrange your pins in a very specific order? Maybe you’ve created a board that’s designed to be static in terms of the presentation and number of pins.

For example, this might be a board that represents catalogue of new seasonal items that you’re selling for your retail store. And you’re looking to highlight certain pins in the first position, but you don’t want to spend all your time trying to decide the order of upload just to ensure the board comes out right.

Pin4Ever Will Help You Rearrange and Backup Pins

To me, one of the most underrated and amazing tools is Pin4ever.com. They provide a suite of tools that is absolutely amazing.

Pin4ever’s main feature is their ability to back up and save pins. This can be incredibly helpful in the case that your business is required to save all social media transactions or you’re worried about losing your Pinterest account and all the data that goes with it.

Along with their back up tool, one of the best features is their ability to rearrange pins on any board that you’ve created. While at the moment you can’t make a specific type of pin sticky, this tool is as good as it gets to get a specific pin to remain at the very top of a Pinterest board.

Benefits of Rearranging Your Pins On Pinterest

1) You’re Not Annoying Followers With Constant Repinning

Let’s be honest, there’s probably a few pins that you’re looking to promote to people who first visit your board, but you don’t want to keep repinning that same pin over and over again just because it could annoy your followers.

For example, I’ll be launching an affiliate program with my Pintalysis Online Academy that’s compatible with Pinterest. (Pinterest won’t strip the affiliate code the way it does for Amazon). And I want to be able to ensure to promote that pin on my one of my boards, but I don’t want to repin that same pin because it feels too spammy.

Now with Pin4Ever, I can keep that pin sticky as possible, so that new people who view the board will have seen it, and people who do follow the board aren’t going to annoyed by it since they won’t be seeing it again and again.

Your first few pins on any of your boards is gold, because we’re lucky if people scroll down past the first page, so you need to ensure that your most important stuff is on top.

Now if I combine that with the strategy of occasionally repining the content to remind my followers of the affiliate program, then I’ve got a winning strategy.

2) Great for Social Proofing Yourself and Your Board

Do you have a pin that you created that has 100 repins or more. Those are mighty impressive numbers, and there’s no doubt that other people would find that impressive too. Imagine being able to show off your most pinned content on the very top row consistently?

That would show off some great social proof, and will probably persuade a few people who probably wouldn’t normally follow you to follow you.

This can be great for seasonal products from last year that may have received a lot of repins. Those repins will add that extra edge in persuading people to go, “That’s popular…I should look more into the product and see what that’s about.”

3) Great for Pins that Require a Structured Order

Have you ever created a place board where you wish you could re arrange everything so that it fit more like a glove instead of smashed Lego pieces?

Especially if you’re trying to give a virtual tour of places to go and want everything to be in a specific order. Use Pin4ever, to help you organize your pins into a sequential order.

I used the tool to help my pins on my board 31 Days to a Better Pinterest Page be organized in a way that the pin for day 1 showed up first, the pin for day 2 showed up second, and so forth.

How does Pin4Ever’s Rearrange Tool Work?

Pin4ever, is only available for Firefox. So you need to load up the browser, and then agree to the terms of services of Pin4ever and then download their tool bar.

Next, in order to start using it, you need to be logged into your Pinterest account, and to be on the Pinterest website.

Now you’ll see a section at the top that reads, “Organize Your Pins.” Look for the blue tab that says “Rearrange.”

Click on that button, and then go to your board where you want to re arrange the pins.  And then click on the pins in the order you want them to show up, and tahdah…the magic of rearranging pins is done.

Day 25 Actionable Step:

I know you’re going to have a lot of fun with day 25, if you’ve never done this before. When I first used the tool my head exploded into a pingasm.

Choose one board you feel would benefit from having the pins re arranged into a specific order. If you feel that there isn’t a board for you to re arrange, then move one of most pinned pins to the top for one of your boards.

I’m a social media marketer, particularly for Pinterest, It all started back in 2010 when Pinterest was in beta. It was the fastest independent website to get 10 million unique visitors in the U.S. This really struck a chord with me, and it was then that I knew that Pinterest was going to be a powerhouse in the world of digital and social media marketing.
